January 24, 2025

This week, the Scouts learned more about how to build a proper fire, to improve on their firelighting skills and abilities. Hopefully this will help them as they take part in more camps in the year ahead.

After carefully building their Airfix models last week, the Cubs were focused on getting their paint jobs just right this week. Thankfully, most of the paint ended up on the planes and cars, rather than the Cubs, tables or floor! The models look great and the Cubs are really proud of the job they did.

Following on from last week's history of money, the Beavers got to examine some coins from around the world. After they'd seen lots of different examples of shapes, sizes, textures, designs and values, the Beavers had a go at designing their own coins. There were an interesting variety of designs that emerged and some Beavers decided to design more than one coin for their currency.
