The Cubs began the term with a Six Forum and some teamwork activities, including pioneering marshmallow and spaghetti towers. Surprisingly they didn't eat all the marshmallows they were given and managed to build decent towers. The Pouncers won the firelighting competition this week.

The Pouncers' new Cub has managed to get her cotton alight. The Trackers Six busy working on their pioneering tower. The Howlers Six are working hard on building their tower using marshmallows and spaghetti.Uh oh! The Pouncer's tower looks like it's ready to tumble over! The Trackers Six have decided that's as tall as their tower will go.The Howler Sixer seems impressed with the strength of the bundled spaghetti. The Pouncer Cubs look proud of their tower.

The first week back and the Beavers had their usual log chew, to talk about the last term and what they enjoyed, as well as the plans for the new year. Then they cracked on with team games and had fun trying to earn points for their Lodges.

The Beavers love to choose the Baby Bear race as one of their Lodge races. I think they've forgotten some of the other races! It seems more concentration is needed than anticipated in the over under race! The Beavers love to choose the worm race as one of their Lodge races, and then complain that their knees are sore.
