Our 2024 AGM

September 26, 2024

On Wednesday we held our group's AGM and had 62 members of our Group Scout Council (made up of our young people, their families and our volunteers) present. Things were more casual this year, with pizza and crisps for all while we cracked on with the serious stuff. A new Chair was appointed to our Trustee Board as were 3 new Trustees, which is really positive, and someone expressed interest in becoming assistant Treasurer, so our Treasurer can step down within the year. We took the opportunity to thank one of our long-serving volunteers, Chris, who's been with us at least 40 years. She's always been happy to lend a hand at fundraisers and come along to a Trustee Board meeting.

After the AGM we announced our Beaver, Cub and Scout of the Year and runners-up, as well as showing the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts the new Lodge, Six and Patrol of the Year trophies that they'll be aiming for over the next year. Well done to all our winners and runners-up for all their hard work. We're so proud of you!

Thank you to all the families who made time in their busy weeks to come along to the AGM.
